Nice park with Good Sam discount but a little expensive. Sites are level, the place is clean and the staff was friendly. We would stay here again.

It was great to find this nice campground after driving all day in the rain. The price was great, the sites are clean and level and the owner was very nice. We would certainly stop here again.

Signs on I-20 indicate this is a campground. We exited and drove 2.3 miles to the campground. The entrance sign said campground and motel. The last 1/4 mile leading to the campground was rough and steep. We were looking for an overnight stop and the office person indicated they did not offer overnight sites. We thanked the person and drive through the park so we could use their turn-around. We saw about 7 RV's that looked long term and 20 run-down motel rooms that did not look to be in use. We continued another 15-20 miles into Shreveport and stayed at Tall Pines RV Park that is very nice.

Park is located about 3 miles east of town and is off the highway and down a slight hill so there was little road noise. About half the sites are in the trees or along the river and there are about 15 nice pull-through sights in the middle of the park that are in the open so you can use your satellite. The Wi-Fi worked good and the staff was very friendly. The laundry room was newly refurbished. The sell propane and firewood. This is a nice, quiet campground to spend a few days or all summer.

The cement and gravel 50 amp sites were full so we had to back our 32 foot trailer into one of the grass 30 amp sites in all the trees. Lucky, there were no other campers in this area so we had lots of room to pull through into site 50. The place is a city park and has a petting zoo, lake, trails and lots of kids. The place had more than an average number of noisy campers and barking dogs which made the experience poor. It's a place for weekend campers, smokey fires, barking dogs and beautiful outdoors.

Easy access off of Hwy 50. Easy check-in. They have lots of long pull-through sites on gravel with large grassy areas in between the sites. The laundry room was very clean and all the equipment worked well. They have a nice store and even serve ice cream.

This is our third visit to the park in the past 12 months. We enjoy the people and the park is easy to get to. Our 30 amp pull-through site was easy to access and the cable TV was nice. The people are great the the rate is excellent.

We could not get reservations on-line for Friday or Saturday so we made plans for arrival on Monday and departing on Friday morning. Upon arrival at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, there was no one staffing the front gate. We noted that 1/2 of the park was closed as we drove through the open sections looking for a sight. We have a 32 foot trailer and only found 2 sights available. We stopped by the front gate house on Tuesday and again on Wednesday and never found it open. It must be to early in the season. The rate of $30 plus tax was about $10 too high for the off season. We still love to see the bay and spend time in the area.

We always have a nice stay at this campground. All 34 sites on Loop C were booked for the weekend. Only 3 campers on Loop A which is real tight for anything over 24 feet in my opinion. Loop B is for tents. Only has lukewarm water in the shower house in Loop C. The bathroom equipment was recently new.

Very clean and quiet park. The roads are narrow and the trees are close if you have a big or long rig. Very peaceful place. Nice people. It was about 6 miles off the Interstate. You need to follow the directions on the website closely. We did a fair amount of GeoCaching in the area. Got to see a lot of the Missouri River. Going South back into Boonville is a speed trap. Coming off the bridge, the speed limit goes from 50 to 20. All the local traffic knows about this and slows down coming off the bridge.

This was a nice, clean park that is new. The owners were very nice. The roads are all new gravel and the grass is growing nicely. There are two fishing ponds. No pool or laundry yet but this is a very nice place to stay for a few nights. The campground feels like you are out in the country but town is only two miles away. Wal-Mart is two miles, Lowe's Home Improvement Store is three miles away and the main highway (Hwy 601) has banks, fast food, auto parts stores, etc. The Wi-Fi worked well, and the water, sewer and electric is all new.

We enjoyed our time here in the RGV. The weather was warm but a bit windy on occasion. The people at Seven Oaks were a blast to be with and the work camper staff treated us well. The pool and hot tub were great and there were activities throughout the week. The grass burrs were a pain but lots of parks had them this season for some reason. This park has the widest spaces we have seen in Mission but they are all back-in sites. The park is about a mile south of Hwy 83 so there is no noise at night. We will be back!

This is a beautiful park right on the highway. This is a family run park, and the people were great. They even had a free pancake dinner for all the guests on Saturday night. The mini-golf is in great shape, and the pool is salt-water and brand new. No chlorine smell, and the pool is in great condition. We were not able to access Wi-Fi at any location.

We made a one-night reservation but stayed for three nights. The rate was $20 for the site and $3 for each person plus a internet reservation fee. Our total cost was $81 for three nights. We camped on the bay and enjoyed the site. You can park at the water's edge. There is no beach, only a sea wall. The water was about 2 feet deep but there were lots of jelly fish (non-sting type). We drove across the bridge toward Rockport and found a great swimming beach on the left. You can't miss it. The sign at the entrance to the park said Mosquito Advisory and they were right. We loaded up on bug spray and enjoyed our stay outside. There was some geocaching in the area so we did that too. Lots of fishing going on if you like that. The Rangers were giving talks and letting kids fish.

We came in on a Sunday night after the office closed but the gate attendant gave us a map and our choice of 30 sites. None of the sites had an ocean view. There is an extensive cleanup operation going on at the beach but it will take a few more weeks for all the hurricane debris to be picked up. The campground mosquitoes were real bad but biking in town and on the beach was mosquito free. Our Verizon connection worked great and our site had cable. Only 20% of the sites were full but this will change as winter approaches.

This is a new campground and the owner's are just getting the campground running. There are about 15 level sites that are on grass with some gravel. The roads are gravel. Access is right off the highway. This is a basic place to stay with W/E/S but no bathrooms or shower house. Our rate was using Passport America. We stayed here so we could visit the Talladega Race Museum and track.

It was supposed to be a cold, rainy weekend but we took a chance and unwinterized the trailer and went camping. Loop C was the only loop open for camping but we figured that would not be a problem. We arrived Thanksgiving day at 1 PM and all the waterfront sites with electric were full. Don't people stay home and eat turkey with the family any more? LOL. We took site C16 and got settled in. The restroom and shower house was closed for repairs. The other restroom and shower house was open but we did not use it because of the distance. It was nice to have water and electric this late in the year. I understand the camp closes on 12-3-07 for the season. The water in the lake is down so it was fun to walk along the shoreline. You could walk for miles. This is a nice place to stay.

Primitive camping for the most part. The four or so sites that had electricity were filled with camp hosts. The hosts were very nice and we got some free kindling to start our fire. The bathrooms were ok and the one shower in the restroom was clean. The water level at the lake was low but we are in a drought. The lake is small (big pond) but makes for a good swimming place for kids. The lake is a bit of a hike from most of the campsites. I guess 3/8 mile but you can drive to the lake. Lots of hiking trails. it was very quiet and the leaves were beautiful. We spent 5 nights here. I did not use the dump station because I felt I could not get my 24 foot travel trailer and truck turned around on the very small loop.

We had a wonderful 3-night visit to this campground as we toured the local area. Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway, Mt. Mitchell and some Geocaching. We had site 21 which is a back-in site but perfect for our travel trailer. The place is hilly but beautiful. This has to be one of the cleanest campgrounds we have stayed at. The bathrooms and showers rated 9.8. The water pressure out of the shower head was low because of water restrictors. This is a very pet friendly place. The Wifi worked poorly, even at the office. We would go back again, for sure.

We decided to spend three nights here since we had stayed at Bandit's Roost last month. We initially decided to select a site in the #60 to #71 area. When we reviewed the sites, we noticed the water very low and stagnant. We drove to the other loop, #7-#21 and chose site #13. None of the sites are on the water. In fact, none of the sites with the exception of #2 and #3 are on the water. #2 and #3 are near the swimming area. The bathrooms and showers were clean. Not much to do and the lake is not close enough to see. Some of the loops were closed to camping.

Check-in went well. They had our pre-paid reservation for 4 nights. We selected a site (#52)on the river. It did not have gravel so dirt was a small issue. They did provide a wood platform for our site. The fire ring has recently be moved and was partially full of wood and ashes. The other ring site was about 4 feet away and the ashes were still there. The hosts were helpful and friendly. The pool was nice. There did have 3 washing machines and 3 dryers which we used. $1 each. The game room was very hot so it was difficult to use. The new pet area was GREAT. They have a 250 foot by 250 foot fenced ares for dogs. Our dog loved it. The Wifi did not work at our site. They told us the antenna on that side of the camp was broke. I still could not get a signal anywhere else at camp. They do have a desktop computer (Wifi) that people can use. I used it each day. The first and second days it worked fair at best. The last two days it worked much better. We are geocachers so not having Wifi was hard on us. It also made it difficult finding a place to stay later in the week. Good people, nice place, needs some gravel in a few sites, needs better Wifi. Kids would love this place. They did have some long term residents.

We were on our way from Bristol, TN to Boone, NC driving along H421. This is a windy road. It was getting dark and we saw the blue sign for "Camping" as we were passing through town. We pulled in and noticed they had 12 sites and only 2 were taken. The camp office is at a museum and they were closed. We took site 5 and backed in on the grass. It had water, electric (We used 30 amp so I don't know about 50 amp), cable and sewer. Some of the sites had damaged cable lines. The bathrooms were locked but we did not need them. Don't know if they had showers or not. They did have some big block fire pits so we did have a fire. We decided to stay a second night and do some geocaching in the area. The fee was $20 per night. It was a reasonably clean place to stay while passing through.

We did enjoy our stay here. Area A is out on the point and Area B is more secluded. We chose site 87 in Area B. Some of the sites are real close together and share a common entrance drive. This is a nice, clean campground. The bathrooms and showers were clean.
